Q.        How do I know how much space I will need?
A.        All Storage Centers offer a variety of unit sizes.  Please visit our Storage Interactive Planner section to determine what size unit will meet your needs. A Storage Center Advisor will recommend the most cost efficient solution.  You can also take advantage of our in home or office visit at no cost or obligation.  Please contact a Storage Center Advisor for details.    

Q.        What are your hours of operation?
A.        All Storage Center locations are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. everyday and after hours by appointment except Christmas, Easter, Fourth of July, and Thanksgiving. 

Q.        How often can I access my goods?
A.        You can access your goods as often as you would like during business hours.  All locations are open seven days a week and after hours by appointment.

Q.        What can I store?
A.        The rules governing the items that can be stored in a self storage unit are described in the occupancy agreement.  Generally, the rules prohibit the storage of food, gasoline, oil, explosives and hazardous materials.

Q.        Who can I speak with if I have a problem?
A.        You can speak with the Storage Center Advisor on site during business hours or call 1.866.STOR-W-US (1.866.786.7987) or by email at any time.  If you are calling after business hours, please leave a detailed message and a Storage Center Advisor will respond by noon the following day.

RATES AND RESERVATIONS [close]

Q.        What are your rates?
A.            Storage Center’s rates are different at each location.  Please call 1.866.STOR-W-US (1.866.786.7987) to speak directly with a Storage Center Advisor.  He/She will help you decide what size room best fits your needs and budget.

Q.        Do I need a reservation?
A.            Storage Center recommends that you make an advance reservation because availability changes on a daily basis at each location.  We will hold your reservation for 24 hours.  Please call 1.866.STOR-W-US (1.866.786.7987) to speak with a Storage Advisor and make a reservation.

Q.        Should I take a tour?
A.            Storage Center recommends you take a tour if you have never rented with us in the past.  During the tour we will show you the various unit sizes, the loading area, and the security features of the store.  The tour will also give you the opportunity to meet our professional Storage Advisors and to ask questions specific to your needs.

Q.        How long can I store my goods?
A.        You can store your goods for as short or long a period as you need.  All rentals are based on a monthly fee structure.

Q.        What forms of payment do you accept?
A.            Storage Center accepts credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), debit cards, personal/corporate checks, and cash.  We also offer you the opportunity to charge your monthly payment to your credit card, debit card or checking account to guarantee timely payment.

Q.        How will I know when my monthly storage payment is due?
A.        Your monthly invoice will be emailed to you.  The best way is to make payment is to charge it to your credit card or debit card.  We do not send an invoice through US Mail.  It is due within 30 days of receipt.

Q.        What kind of documentation do I need to rent a unit?
A.        If you are a residential customer, you must present a government issued photo ID.  This could be a driver's license, passport, or state issued identification card.

            If you are commercial customer, we require you to provide your company Tax ID number and sign a simple letter indicating that you have the authority to obligate your company to the terms of the occupancy agreement.  We would be glad to streamline this process by providing you with this form in advance of your visit.  Simply contact us by email or phone (1.866.STOR-W-US/1.866.786.7987) and request a sample Authorization Letter.   

Q.        Are there any additional charges beyond the monthly rent payment?
A.        Yes, there is a one time non-refundable administrative charge of just $15.  This fee covers all basic administrative functions required to activate a new customer's account.

Q.        How long will it take to complete my transaction?
A.        It only takes 10-15 minutes to complete the occupancy agreement.   

Q.        When can I move into my unit?
A.        Once the occupancy agreement is complete, you can immediately move into your unit.

SECURITY [close]

Q.        Who has a key to my unit?
A.        You are the only key-holder to your unit.

Q.        Are my goods safe while in storage?
A.        The safety and security of your belongings is our priority.  Our comprehensive security features 24 hour surveillance, sophisticated building alarm systems, computerized gate access, and well-lit corridors.  The buildings are equipped with smoke detectors and fire alarms.  In addition, your unit is secured with a lock to which you retain the only key.

Q.        Can a Storage Center employee enter my unit?
A.        A Storage Center employee can enter your unit upon the request of law enforcement or governmental agencies.  If repairs or maintenance need to be done to the unit, we will attempt to notify you in advance.  These conditions are stated in the occupancy agreement.

INSURANCE [close]

Q.        Do I need insurance?
A.        If your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy does not cover your goods while in storage, Storage Center recommends you participate in our customer insurance program.

Q.        How can I get customer insurance?
A.            Storage Center provides a customer insurance program designed to meet your needs.  We have partnered with our insurance company to offer a program that provides great value, competitive insurance rates, and flexible coverage.  Specific details are available at each store, or you can call us at 1.866.STOR-W-US (1.866.786.7987).

Q.        Do you have climate controlled units?
A.        Yes, all Storage Center locations have climate controlled units available.

Q.        Do you accept deliveries on my behalf?
A.        Yes, all Storage Center locations will gladly accept and sign for deliveries on your behalf.  You must first advise a Storage Center Advisor so that an addendum can be completed.

Q.        Are there elevators, dollies and hand trucks available for my use?
A.        Yes, all multistory stores have self-service passenger elevators and several different size dollies and hand trucks available at each loading area for customer use.

Q.        Do you sell boxes and packing supplies?
A.        Yes, each Storage Center location offers a wide range of packing and moving supplies for your convenience.

Q.        Do you sell locks?
A.        Yes, each Storage Center location offers a variety of locks.

Q.        Do you recommend a moving company?
A.        Yes, we have partnered with several local moving companies.  Please ask a Storage Center Advisor on site or call 1.866.STOR-W-US (1.866.786.7987) and someone can help you.
